Art Museums are not my thing so for me to give it a three is pretty good. The Louvre is overwhelming- it’s huge and a bit daunting to figure it out and maneuver. We were disappointed with the audio guides- difficult to use, incomplete and mine ran out of battery in less than 2 hours. If you love art and are in Paris you must see the Louvre. I’d consider a guided tour, and skip the headset. Enjoy!

Not usually into museums etc. But while in Paris defiantly wanted to visit. Defiantly recommend to purchase tickets in advance to skip the long queues getting in.
The Mona Lisa has a long que building up to it, but unless you want a “perfect picture” WITH the painting, there’s no need to queue , as you can still stand the same distance down the side of the queue with no wait!
The cafes etc. Has above average prices but worth it & nice to have a sit down and treat yourself. We didn’t look around the entire museum as was HUGE and kept getting lost! The maps are extremely confusing & frustrating to navigate! And some of the exhibitions were closed , but all over a lovely few hours & would recommend to anyone visiting Paris ! We didn’t get the audioguide👍🏼

So we waited an hour in the queue outside. We didn't book tickets in advance.. SO BOOK YOUR TICKETS!
EVEN if only 1 of you need to pay, those that go in for free can still come in the shorter queue with you!
Under 18's go in for free!
18-24 year olds go in for free! Only if you're from EU countries.
Take passport as evidence.
Dont buy tickets from the guys selling outside. Once you go in.. Read the omap properly. It's massive and there's two parts to the museum. Mona Lisa has a very big queue of people waiting to take a picture with her...! The teenagers got board after a bit but the few areas we did visit were great! Regretted not picking up and audio guide.. Would have been helpful!!
Also.... The Louvre looks amazing at night from the outside!!
