the museum does not need to be advertised or its collection, because it is known all over the world. Organizationally, we recommend that you buy a ticket online in advance - the queue is quite long anyway, and if you don't have a ticket, you can wait even a few hours. We had a problem with finding ourselves in the museum, we had a map, and yet it was difficult for us to find specific exhibitions, which made us go around sometimes. we have wasted our time on this. we recommend spending the whole day here, because seeing everything in 2-3 hours is impossible. beautiful interiors, it is very nice to spend time here.
A magnificent museum. We booked a guided tour as there is simply too much to see and it would be overwhelming without someone who knows where they're going and what they're talking about. You could visit here every day for a week and still not really skim the surface. Loved it.
As we had found elsewhere (and more increasingly), if you really want to visit someplace famous, book ahead. We visited Paris in the middle of the Delta variant spike, and proof of vaccination was required for entry to most places, the Louvre being one. We arrived about 45 minutes ahead of our ticket time there are two lines, one for reserved tickets, and one for no tickets. Because of the pandemic, the no tickets line wasn’t that bad. Any other time and it would have been long. Once in the museum you’ll need to decide what you want to see, unless you plan on spending all day there. After 2+ hours, I was "arted" out. We did see the famous pieces in the overall collection, plus a lot of other stuff, but that was plenty. The Louvre is probably one of the biggest museums in the world. Recommended
