Had been to the museum this morning. We had a fixed time ticket, but we were early. Since it was morning and a bit of rain there was less crowd and the gate keepers just let us get on with it. May be ten min on the queue to security and off we went in. We had a person who has visited this place before to guide us. So we made sure we see the important displays. Didn’t have the audio guide. There was 15 min wait to get in to Mona Lisa display. Since I use walking stick, the staff gave me an opportunity to skip the line at the entrance to the hall and go close to the painting and take photos. That was highlight of our trip. The staff were very courteous. When we were returning close to 3pm I noticed long queues waiting even after the security check to go in. There are toilet facilities inside. There are elevators you can use. There are seats in between to sit down and rest. There is good amount of walking required; didn’t tire us As we took it easy.
It was my first time in Louvre. Strongly advised to know beforehand what you want to see. It is VERY big. It’s impossible to see everything. Audioguide of guide app will be good or you will waste your time. We bought Museum Pass for our trip and skipped long queue at the entrance
You can easily spend a week in this amazing museum, it is a must visit, try to get the app and download the audio guide before visiting the museum.
