This place exceeded all of the expectations I had before I visited. Visiting Paris with my girlfriend and of course you need to visit the Louvre. When you think of the Louvre you think of the Mona Lisa but there's so much more to it. When you walk through the different parts of the musuem you really get a feel for the history of the place. It's absolutely huge and there's so much to see so you could easily spend 4 or 5 hours here. I would recommend getting the audio guide and a map (you can get these in the entrance before you enter the exhibition) as unfortunately we failed to do this and got lost a couple of times! It's also free for people under the age of 24 which was an amazing bonus for us. Must visit!
The museum is amazing, I spent there several hour but didn't get to see very much. The audioguide was somewhat confusing as of giving directions.
So this place is THE museum. It is gigantic so my recommendation is do you some homework before visiting and make a research on what you really want to see and where is it. I got the audioguide which helped with the explanations but not very easy to get along as a map, at least for me. There is a Mcdonald’s and decent food from over the world inside so you can take a break on the at least three hours visit. I have always thought that when you see so much amazing stuff together, you end up not appreciating the work involved in the paintings or sculptures.
