The Louvre is a beautiful collection of art, housed in a spectacular location. However, the museum is so enormous that it can be quite exhausting going through every part of it in one trip. I would recommend working out what you want to see first (Mona Lisa, Winged Victory, Venus de Milo etc.) and do them, then explore whatever else you want. Egyptian stuff was pretty cool. Also, get the Nintendo 3DS audioguide, it is by far worth It!
My husband rented an audio guide because which he said was very informative. I just took pictures. There were lots of people at this time of the year (1st week of June) but since this place is huge, it is still roomy inside.
It was a dream to visit the Louvre and going there is more than impressive, the sheer size and its collection is an art lover's dream come true. Firstly book your tickets online its cheaper. Secondly you need a whole day to properly justify seeing the entire collection. I did managed to do one wing quite well in about 4 hours. three, wear super comfy shoes. four, the mona lisa is small and is always crowded. five, get the audio guide, it is extremely worth it.
