First time back to the Louvre since I was at school (in previous millennium) Really enjoyed spending time here - focused on Italian and French painters However there is SO much to see one can only do the painting justice if one views a limited number each trip It dies involve a lot of walking and I found the audio guide complicated to use / was distracting / and bombarded me with too much information Worth several visits

You have to do it once. The art was beautiful but we were completely blown away by just the architecture of the building. Definitely get the audio guide!

What most people don’t now is that that Louvre was originally a fort! Then it was made into a palace! And finally into a museum. If you go in, be prepared for some strong security measures. Once inside, get your audio-guide, it has a GPS chip and it can help you not get lost!
