This is the mother of all museums in my opinion. I love that there are signage to see La Gioconda! So there’s no mistake who is the most popular painting that the mass wants to see. Yes it crowded and busy but the time I visited was around 5 pm on a Friday which had extended hours that day and there’s not much line up, maybe I just got lucky. Massive and full of precious masterpieces, didn’t notice they’re already closing until the announcement, that’s how huge this museum. But all worth visiting. Not to be missed.
Firstly, Mind you - Louvre is closed on Tuesday.. And now the review: Well this is for everyone! Mesmerised on seeing the luxuries of Napoleon, the so called loot from Egypt, Mesopotamia :D Hammurabi's code! The disappointment of seeing Mona Lisa! And the massive painting opposite Mona Lisa!! I visited for only 6 hours (Walking 8kms during the day). Next time I will take out 4-5 days just to cover this Museum.
10mins to get in due to time of the year. Amazing building. Shame only had an hour to spare. Would definitely go back!
