the museum is huge, please wear comfortable walking shoes and have a free day to tour the entire place as you will not want to miss out on anything. the audio tour is not very helpful so i would suggest a personal actual tour guide.
Strange sign at the front line saying the museum was full? We just went and stood in the line for people with tickets. No problem. I dont think the audio guide was worth it. Very good lunch at the restaurant was reasonably priced.
Obviously it’s one of the must see place when you visit Paris. I would highly recommend getting the museum pass! We didn’t get one and we ended up paying a lot more visiting all those museum paying the entrance fees one by one. You need to stand in line and go through the security before you can go purchase ticket. And make sure you bring your passport if you want to rent the audio tour guide. We didn’t bring our passport which was a bummer. The louvre is very huge so plan your visit accordingly if you want to see everything. There’s lockers available if you want to store your backpacks, jacket and your belonging. There are couple restaurants throughout the place if you want to get some drinks and food and rest for a bit from all the walking.
