Our wonderful tour director gave us an evening tour of the Louvre. There was nothing like it. You see photos of the great masters paintings, but you simply can't understand the depth of color until you view them up close and personal. If you have time, do take a photo of the glass pyramid at night. It's magnificent!
At first I wasn't very optimistic. I thought it will be crowded. it wasn't. Lots of amazing art items. Interesting exhibitions. I will definitely visit again.
There are not so many things when you're an adult that can leave you breathless. Louvre for sure is one. Colossal building, amazing exhibits, and you just feel so small compared to everything. This is a must visit place when in Paris, but leave one whole day so you can enjoy at least small piece of it!
