My partner and I bought our tickets online, but still had to wait in line for about 10 minutes (10:00 AM). Once we got inside, we realized that Le Louvre was massive!! Before going, either download the “Le Louvre” App or GET A MAP...you’ll need it! Be aware that most of the placards for the paintings are in French, so if you don’t know the language, get an audio guide or go on a guided tour.
The crowd was minimal on that day so no queues. Used the free cloak room to store my luggage. Spent 4 hours and thoroughly enjoyed the collection. You will easily get lost in the place. So before you begin spend some time to understand the structure of the building. This will help in the navigation. Buy an audio guide it will be very useful. A must visit in Paris.
It is impossible to see the louvre in one day. You can pick your favourite. We picked Italian paintings and French paintings. And only finished half of French paintings in one day. We have to come back again to see other areas.
