A lovely few hours spent in this beautifully historic must see. Well designed with cafe and restaurant plus free locker for your coat / shopping bags. Full audio guide in your language and easy to follow guide and good signage..
The Louvre is 1 of the 2 "must see" museums in Paris (the other is Versailles). It is crowded, and one could not see all of the museum if you had a week. If you are going in high season (the spring/summer/early fall), pay for "Skip the Line" - it will save you hours. After you book your flight and hotel, book your day for the Louvre - the day and time that you want to tour may have sold-out the "Skip the Line", weeks in advance.
Definitely worth if you have the time to spend. Mona Lisa is worth a look but there are many more interesting pieces of work.
